ABOUT OKPP
The Oklahoma Pet Professionals was formed in 1999 by a group of concerned pet breeders who were
interested in pooling their knowledge and helping to educate others in their chosen field of agribusiness. They hoped
that by doing this they could produce better pets for the public and help improve the image of the professional
pet producer. OKPP is a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring the best pet possible. We conduct educational
seminars yearly for continued education in pet related fields and produce a yearly directory comprised of the membership and
their suppliers and sponsors. OKPP distributes informational materials and attempts to promote and cooperate with other organizations
involved in the commercial pet industry. OKPP cooperates with the state and federal governments in the development of legislation
favorable to the pet profession. We are devoted to the humane care of companion animals, and we offer an opportunity
to exchange ideas and information with others invovled in the companion animal industry.
The purpose of OKPP is to improve the image of the pet profession in the state of Oklahoma and to
set forth to the populace a confident semblance of the Oklahoma Pet Professional.
